If you are child or child-at-heart in the Belmont Shore area the newest and coolest place to be on Second Street is Powell's Sweet Shoppe. I have heard numerous kids from Lowell complain that they are the only kid at school who have not been to Powells yet! It is a total status symbol.So Thursday after junior guards Wyatt and Shelby and I rode our cruisers to Powells.
For my sweet treat I picked some jawbreakers in honor of my sweet grandpa:

He also bought these tablets, which were so over-priced, but he was spending his own $:
Look at those smiles - just like a kid in a candy store!
So visit Powells after your next pizza dinner at Domenicos!

Yumm-o! They have gelato! I loooove gelato! And I would really love some Domenico's right about now.
We have a Powell's in Paso Robles. David and I went there and it was total overload. The gelato looked delish! The only thing I could not find and CAN not find anywhere to save my life was Fruitellas. I used be eat these in high school and bought them at Stottlemeyer's. Anyone who can find them for me will be my hero. I found them online from Denmark or some such and it was gonna cost me beaucoup bucks to get them here.
