It's that time of year! In Long Beach the Girl Scouts are everywhere! I bought six boxes from Taylor upstairs for $24 - I thought that was plenty to spend on cookies, but I thought wrong. Kevin personally disposed of one box of samoas the first night. The second box also went quickly, but this time at least the kids got one or two. Only one box of samoas were left when an unsuspecting girl scout walked down our street on Sunday to deliver cookies down the block. They broke the Sabbath. Kelly and Kevin both ran for their wallets and replenished their supply of samoas. Kelly who probably only has $40 to his name spent $4 on a box of these delightful cookies. He then used them to drown his sorrows as he did homework for the next four hours (he had three projects to do). Surprisingly, Kevin told him to stop eating the cookies or he was going to make himself sick. I refrained from telling Kevin he was definitely the pot calling the kettle black. The box of samoas he had bought hours earlier was also empty.
So are there any girl scouts in your area? Have you gotten your cookies? Have you been able to stop yourself from eating the whole box?

We have finished off 2 boxes of Samoas (and a box of tagalongs, and the shortbread cookies). I am pretty sure that I ate most of them. We have another box that I am hiding from myself because enough is enough. Too bad I am suplimenting the Samoas with Cadbury Mini Eggs.
PS Samoas are so good if you put them in the freezer, then let them defrost for a couple of minutes!! Yummy.

After I realized how fast the girl scout cookies were going I hid myself a box of samoas and thin mints. Samoas are already gone.
Oh it is a good thing I haven't had any little girls knocking at my door. It would have got out of control! I LOVE Samoas!!

Why are Samoas so freaking good??? I am obsessed. I can't purchase any because I too will eat the whole box. I am a little shocked that Mr. Fitness would binge on something so unhealthy. Maybe he was depressed that he wasn't running the LA Marathon?
Lolita!! I'm dying because we ordered cookies, but our girl scout hasn't brought them by yet!! I LOVE the samoas way to much and Reed of course LOVEs the Tag-alongs!! This time of year is a KILLER!!!!
And about the Cadbury mini eggs...we're already on our 2nd bag!! Boy are we really going to have to play HARD at our soccer games to burn off all the crap we eat!!:)
Girl Scout cookies are my nemesis, so none for me. I still have an empty spot in my heart for Thin Mints. But Samoas remain my kids' faves.
