I came home from my six+ hours at church on Sunday to find this sign on Shelby's door. I wondered what must have happened? I found out she did this for no particular reason and all by herself. She asked Kevin how to spell "going in" and he told her, but he did not know why she was asking nor did he inquire as to why she wanted to spell those words. So when I got home I asked her why she put the sign on her door and she told me it was because she does not want Kelly sleeping in her bed - her words were probably something like, "for Kelly won't go in my bed." Shelby likes to use the word "for" instead of the word "so". I asked her why she didn't want Kelly in her bed and the answer was because she thinks he smells. She also thinks Kevin smells. This is a result of her
extreme dislike of sweat. Since Kevin works out approximately four hours a day he smells of sweat a lot. Kelly's workout are shorter, but frequent and he still smells.
Another fasinating fact about Shelby - she always keeps her bedroom door closed and has since she was about two. Everytime I walk by I open the door, and everytime she goes in or out of her room she closes the door. Weird, huh? Especially since her door has no doorknob. The "no doorknob door" is courtesy of Kelly who previously occupied Shelby's room and when he was a naughty three year old and would always lock us out Kevin took off the doorknob - and has never put it back on. In fact, it might be lost. But I would guess Shelby - the compulsive door-shutter who does not want anyone to come in - would appreciate a door knob.
(Now isn't that an impressive sign and isn't that a beautiful door with chipped Navaho White paint and no doorknob! )

I love that the reason she didn't want Kelly in her bed was because he smelled. Is she all girl or what? I love it!
I remember how bad Adam and Reed's room smelled when they were young boys. It was terrible. I'm with Team Shelby!!
I also remember the smell of Adam and Reed's room - not good! But I don't think Kelly and Wyatt's room stinks - does it? My room probably smells the worst b/c of all of Kevin's workout clothing! I hate living in a locker room - but that could be another post!
