Remember these? Those cards you used to check out library books before computers?Wyatt checked out a book from the 80s at my recommendation from the Lowell library this month and found this card in the front. It has names of numerous friends from high school days listed, including a "Lori S." The book was "The Amazing Brain" and I highly recommend it for school age boys.
One of my favorite parts of my day is reading with Wyatt in my bed every night.It started when I was reading the Harry Potter series out loud to him, but now we both read to ourselves till we fall asleep. I love a good book, and I love a boy that loves a good book.
The sad thing is that I rarely read to Shelby because I am reading with Wyatt instead.
And speaking of Shelby, the day she has been waiting for has finally arrived:
She got her own library card!After checking the mail everyday for a week her card came.
And she is so happy and so proud!
