Get Well Soon Goosey!

Yesterday we took Shelby to the ER in severe respiratory distress. She is now in the pediatric ICU being treated for pneumonia and something else that is causing her throat to constrict.
She has had a tough time.
She is exhausted from not being able to breathe well since the wee hours of Saturday morning. She has a high fever. She has had blood drawn many times, xrays, and over eight IVs put into her little body. But she is off of oxygen right now and will hopefully be home after a minimum three day stay in the hospital.

Her illness hit really quickly. Friday she complained of a sore throat and rested all afternoon. Early Saturday morning I took her to urgent care because she was having trouble breathing but they did not seem too concerned. They gave her one breathing treatment and sent us home with an inhaler. The inhaler did not seem to help at all and by noon on Sunday she was struggling to get a breathe and in spasms and looking a grayish color. So off we went to the ER. The ER rushed her right in and had a team of people working on her. Luckily she responsed to a different medication they gave her in a second breathing treatment and they did not have to intubate her.
Get Well Soon Goosey Girl!
We Love You!
