It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

There may be some June gloom in the mornings, but I think this is the most wonderful time of the year in Long Beach! The Jacaranda trees are in bloom all over town. The sun is shining, but it is not too hot.
The purple flowers in my front yard bloom once a year in June.
I smell the BEAUTIFUL fragrance of star jasmin when I walk around the neighborhood.

And the neighborhood has lots of gardenias in bloom, that also smell so beautiful.

In June my house is no longer cold - and I love the way my house looks with bright sunshine streaming in when the doors and windows are open.

But the most wonderful part of this wonderful time of year is

12 WEEKS OF VACATION!

No uniforms to wash, no lunches to make, no homework, no school.

I love that the last day of school is a holiday in our part of the LBC:

Wyatt celebrated with a sleepover at Zack's house with 14 other boys!
They did the waterslide, played video games all night, and had bacon and donuts for breakfast.

Shelby celebrated with a sleepover with Ava O. Here are the girls enjoying some milk and cookies:

(kelly was on restriction - no celebrations!)

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I agree 100% thank goodness for summer for all of those reasons. But yet it seems to never calm down cause there is never a day that I dont spend in the car taking someone somewhere. But that is the joys of being a mother!!! Love and Miss you Guys

I love the Jacaranda trees too. They are beautiful! Also...I wish that Rick got 12 weeks of vacation so I didn't have to make him a lunch during summer either!!

Yay for summer! That party sounds right up Wyatt's alley. :) By the way, I was going through my closet and I found an old Gameboy of Wyatt's...he must have left it in my car one time. Do you want it?
