Mission San Juan Capistrano

I spent a beautiful day with the fourth grade classes of Lowell Elementary touring the beautiful Mission San Juan Capistrano. I was the tour guide for this group of scholars:
One tragic stop on the tour is the Great Stone Church which was built by Indians in 1797. On December 8, 1812 during morning Mass celebrating the Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception an earthquake struck and the domes of the Great Stone Church caved in killing 42 Indian worshippers.

One of our favorite missions. OK, so we've only been to like two, but we liked this one the best.
