Tuesday was a beautiful January day in SoCal. The weather was 85 degrees and HOT! Since it was a stay-home-day for Shelby I asked if she wanted to go to Disneyland for the day. But Shelby's wish was to go for a bike ride - a bike ride where she rides her own bike. While Shelby has had the ability to ride a bike for a long time, she has not had the confidence. And so even though we ride bikes all the time, she always rides with me. For the last 5 years it has been us together on my red cruiser. But it is time to take the baby seat off of the cruiser.
Because Shelby can do it all by herself! I was happy/proud and holding back tears at the same time. But it was a beautiful day and we rode to Lowell to watch Wyatt perform his piano piece for fellow students. And then we rode to second street to look at WebKinz and eat some lunch at Rubios. And then we rode home, and I will always remember my first bike ride with Shelby as a beautiful day!

Our kids are getting so big! I LOVE watching Isaac ride his bike!
