
To pass the tryout he need to swim 100 yards in under 2 minutes.
His first attempt was 2 minutes 8 seconds.
Wyatt was crying before he even came out of the water.
His second attempt was 2 minutes 6 seconds.

pool building and swore he would never swim again.
Fortunately, he calmed down and decided to give swimming another try.
Luckily some nice boys from school joined the Shore Aquatics swim team
and were also training to pass the junior lifeguard qualification test.
After doing laps for 1 1/2 hours a day three days a week:

The boys qualified on Saturday! Wyatt swam his 100 in 1 minute 48 seconds!


If JGs doesn't work Wyatt wants to do some sailing this summer.

I guess it just goes to show that if you're determined enough and willing to work hard enough...nothing is impossible! Way to go Wyatt! Hopefully you'll get off the waiting list soon!
Great news Wyatt. You join a long list of family that spent their summers doing Jr. Lifeguards. Hope that won't interupt you coming to Utah for part of your summer. Love Grandma Karen

Of course he wants to do 'sailing'. I could totally see him loving that! Well a big congrats for qualifying. I hope some people drop out so he can get in there!
